Several studies have appointed the health risks associated with coffee. However, it now seems to be shown that coffee and cancer are unrelated.

Although previous research has yielded conflicting data on the effects of coffee on health, a recent study by the Autonomous University of Madrid shows that there is no link between coffee consumption and cancer deaths.

What’s more, another study by the University of North Dakota said that habitual coffee consumption protects against Alzheimer’s.

It is known that high cholesterol levels are a risk factor for getting Alzheimer’s and is now known that caffeine blocks the negative effects of cholesterol thereby indirectly help combat Alzheimer’s.

It is believed that alcohol accelerates the metabolism of cancer cells and this causes it to develop a more aggressive cancer, experts say.

The new study was conducted by doctors in Holland Center and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research recently published in the journal Cancer. It pointed out that excessive consumption of alcohol, especially beer, cause it to quickly develop a highly aggressive prostate cancer, whose chances of survival are less than 50%.
